Privacy policy
Last updated: October 19, 2026
Viper PDF is a browser extension that works on your computer. This page explains, in plain language, what it does and does not do with your data.
Your files stay on your computer
PDFs and images you add are processed locally in your browser. They are not uploaded to any server, and we never receive them.
The only external connection
When the tool opens, it may fetch https://viperpdf.com.br/api/banner.json, which contains the content of the banner shown at the top of the page (text, a link and, occasionally, an image address). This request does not include your documents or any identifier we assign to you. As with any web request, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may process technical data such as your IP address to serve the file. If a banner uses an image, the image is loaded from the address given in the banner.
What is stored on your device
- IndexedDB: the bytes of the files you are currently working with, kept on your computer so the tool can work with large files.
- chrome.storage.local: your language choice and a cached copy of the banner content.
This data never leaves your device. You can remove it by clearing the extension's data or uninstalling it.
Permissions the extension asks for
- tabs: to open and focus the tool's own tabs.
- downloads: to save the results (merged PDFs, images, DXF files) to your computer.
- storage and unlimitedStorage: to keep your preferences and large files locally.
What we do not do
No analytics, no tracking, no third-party advertising scripts, and no selling or sharing of data.
